Me Art has become one of the first in the world to offer budding art enthusiasts a way to view and buy art simultaneously, across physical and virtual gallery spaces. Following the successful launch of its virtual gallery in June this year, the dealership has now launched a physical space to allow customers to see art in person too.
The dealership has also launched their secondexhibitionacross both platforms which runs until 12 December, and contains prize artworks from a range of prominent artists like Mr Brainwash, Keith Harring, Jean-Michael Basquiat, and Richard Hambleton.
The merchants are positive that their virtual-first service, alongside growth in consumer preferences towards buying high-value items online, will assist them to challenge traditional galleries, who are loaded with multiple operational outgoings.
“consumers have been transitioning towards buying items online for a long period of time now, even for luxury items and highly valued items. Covid-19 has simply accelerated this trend. Traditional art players, more often than not, have been affected badly by Covid-19 and transition. Me Art noticed this movement early on, so created a high-quality virtual gallery experience for customers to browse the art via their chosen technology from the comfort of their own homes.” – Gallery owner, Joseph Lewis
